What is Circle K Service Day?

Circle K Service Day is University of Michigan Circle K’s annual event, consisting of 12 straight hours of service projects, fundraisers, and events! Everyone is invited to participate in this wonderful opportunity that gives volunteers the chance to serve in and around the Ann Arbor community. The core purpose of Circle K Service Day is to show participants how big of an impact can be made in the span of just a single day!

How do you sign up for projects?

In order to sign up for projects, you must first make an account by clicking on “Register for CKSD”. Once you are confirmed, simply log in and click on “Projects.” There, you can choose from almost 50 projects!

Where do projects meet?

All projects will meet at the Ginsberg Center for Community Service and Learning located at 1024 Hill Street.

How do I sign up with friends/student orgs?

If you would like to sign up with friends or a student organization to ensure that everyone will be able to volunteer at the same project, please email the Executive Board at ckiboard@umich.edu with the number of volunteers, the name of the project(s) you would like to sign up for, and the name of the student organization, if applicable. We will then email you back letting you know if there are enough spots left on the project to all volunteer together, and we’ll sign you all up!

Can I drop-in on projects?

There will be on-site projects occurring throughout the day at the Ginsberg Center that you can drop-in on. On the CKSD website, a house icon designates all of the on-site projects. You must sign up for any of the other projects scheduled during CKSD.

Do I have to stay for the whole 12 hours?

No, you do not have to stay for the entire 12 hours; any amount that you are available to volunteer will have a huge impact! However, there are many fun projects, fundraisers, and events throughout the entire 12 hours, so it is definitely worth looking at the CKSD website for ones you are interested in!

Will there be food?

Yes! We will have food provided by Circle K and our sponsors to feed and energize all our volunteers. We will also have snacks to munch on throughout the day. So don’t worry, you won’t be hungry!
